The most significant environmental liability of the fossil fuel age is stranded gas. Across thousands of isolated extraction sites globally, excess methane is vented and flared into the atmosphere because piping it to a centralized refinery is economically unviable.
The CAIDI Institute has engineered a decentralized solution: The Aegis Micro-Node.
Rather than moving the gas to the infrastructure, we deploy the infrastructure to the gas. Housed within a modified, rapidly deployable 20-foot footprint, the Micro-Node is an autonomous, continuous-feed material synthesis reactor.
HOW IT WORKS
THE PETRO-FLASH PROTOCOL
Upon deployment at a wellhead, the Micro-Node intercepts the flare gas before combustion. Utilizing proprietary electro-thermal processing, the system strips the hydrocarbon molecules apart in a zero-oxygen environment.

The Carbon precipitates out as high-purity Turbostratic Graphene (Hydrographene), pressed instantly into binderless 20kg bricks for transport.

The Hydrogen is captured and routed to an internal Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell, which generates the exact electrical load required to power the reactor.

The Aegis Micro-Node requires zero external grid connection. It consumes its own byproduct to sustain a continuous, closed-loop synthesis cycle. Furthermore, the system is governed by a dedicated Continuous Edge AI Cluster. This onboard intelligence manages fluid dynamics, tracks real-time spectroscopic quality control, and automatically schedules logistics for material harvest—allowing the node to operate entirely unattended in the most remote oilfields on Earth.
